SMS Order Updates
Crawdaddy sends optional SMS (text message) updates to customers about the status of their crawfish orders — including pickup, local delivery, catering, and nationwide shipping orders. This page explains how you opt in, what messages you'll receive, how often, and how to opt out. These are transactional updates tied to an order you placed — not marketing.
Who receives these messages
Only customers who place an order through Crawdaddy (app.crawdaddy.app) and provide their mobile number at checkout. You'll only ever receive texts about your own orders.
How you opt in
You opt in when you place an order. At checkout you enter your mobile number, and a consent notice is shown next to the phone number field:
"By placing your order, you agree to receive automated text messages from Crawdaddy about your order status. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
- Providing your mobile number and completing the order is your opt-in.
- Opting into order-status texts is not a condition of any purchase — you can still place an order without them.
- We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.
What the messages are
You'll receive texts about the status of your own order, which may include:
- Order confirmed — when your order is placed and paid.
- Order accepted — when the crawfish spot confirms it's being prepared.
- Ready for pickup / out for delivery — for local pickup and delivery orders.
- Catering updates — scheduling and status for catering orders.
- Shipping updates — tracking and delivery status for nationwide shipping orders.
- Delivered / completed — when your order is finished.
Sample messages:
- "Crawdaddy: Your order at Crawfish Kings is confirmed. We'll text you when it's being prepared."
- "Crawdaddy: Your 10 lb boiled order is out for delivery — about 15 min away."
- "Crawdaddy: Your shipped order is on its way. Track it here: [link]"
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency depends on your order activity — typically a few messages per order as its status changes. Message and data rates may apply.
How to opt out or get help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving order-update texts at any time.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@crawdaddy.app.
- Opting out won't cancel your order — we'll still process it, you just won't get text updates.
